Description

Over-running engineering works are disrupting services between Lancaster and Oxenholme Lake District.

Alterations and delays to services of up to 50 minutes can be expected.

Description

Disruption to some East Midlands Trains services on Sunday 20 July will occur due to members of train crew being unavailable. Because of this, there will be the following alterations and changes to train services.

Unaffected routes

  • All East Midlands Trains (Mainline) services travelling to and from London will run as normal
  • Trains between Derby and Crewe will run as normal

Alterations

Buses will replace trains on the following routes:

  • Derby - Matlock
  • Nottingham - Lincoln

Some trains will be replaced by buses on the following routes

  • Norwich - Nottingham - Liverpool
  • Nottingham - Skegness

Ticket easements

East Midlands Trains passengers with tickets dated for travel Sunday 20 July may use any of the following services:

  • Virgin Trains & National Express East Anglia (for journeys between Liverpool Lime Street - Norwich via London)
  • National Express East Coast (including journeys via Doncaster)
  • CrossCountry (any reasonable route)
  • Northern Rail (any reasonable route)
  • First TransPennine Express (any reasonable route)
  • London Midland (Birmingham / Crewe - Liverpool)

Passengers with tickets dated for travel Sunday 20 July who do not wish to travel may either:

  • Claim a full refund
  • Travel on Saturday 19 July or Monday 21 July

Description

The 19:05 service between Pembroke Dock and Hereford will terminate at Newport. Replacement bus service will run between Newport and Hereford.

The 20:46 service between Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff Central will terminate at Hereford. Replacement bus service will run between Hereford and Cardiff Central.

There will be no trains across Central London.

Trains will run half hourly between Bedford and Hendon connecting into replacement buses to London St Pancras.

London Fenchurch Street station will be closed with all train services running to and from London Liverpool Street, stopping additionally at Stratford.  Because of this, trains will be unable to stop at West Ham or Limehouse.

Until 20:10, the following services will run: 

  • Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
  • Between Liverpool Street and Southend Central via Rainham and Tilbury: every 30 minutes
  • Between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon: every 30 minutes

 From 20:10 the following services will run 

  • Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
  • Between Liverpool Street and Grays via Rainham: every 30 minutes
  • Between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon: every 30 minutes  

A replacement bus service will run between Grays and Pitsea via Tilbury

Sunday 

The following services will run:  

  • Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
  • Between Liverpool Street and Southend Central via Laindon: every 30 minutes (these services run non-stop from Upminster to Pitsea) 

The following replacement buses will run: 

  • Between Upminster and Pitsea via Ockendon and Tilbury
  • Between Barking and Grays via Rainham

Train services between Blackpool North/Preston and Carlisle are replaced by buses.

Bus services are unable to call at Dent.

Passengers travelling to/from Dent should contact Northern Customer Services on 0845 0000 125 to arrange alternative transport.
