London Euston / Birmingham New Street / Manchester Oxford Road, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme Lake District, Penrith, Carlisle & Glasgow Central / Edinburgh

Over-running engineering works are disrupting services between Lancaster and Oxenholme Lake District.

Alterations and delays to services of up to 50 minutes can be expected.

The estimated time for a normal service to resume is 20:00.

Cleethorpes, Lincoln Central, Newark North Gate / Newark Castle & Nottingham; also Nottingham, Derby, Ambergate & Matlock; also Manchester Piccadilly, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Grantham, Peterborough, Ely & Norwich; also Skegness, Boston, Grantham & Nottingham

Disruption to some East Midlands Trains services on Sunday 20 July will occur due to members of train crew being unavailable. Because of this, there will be the following alterations and changes to train services.

Unaffected routes

• All East Midlands Trains (Mainline) services travelling to and from London will run as normal
• Trains between Derby and Crewe will run as normal

Alterations

Buses will replace trains on the following routes:

• Derby - Matlock
• Nottingham - Lincoln

Some trains will be replaced by buses on the following routes

• Norwich - Nottingham - Liverpool
• Nottingham - Skegness

East Midlands Trains passengers with tickets dated for travel Sunday 20 July may use any of the following services:

• Virgin Trains & National Express East Anglia (for journeys between Liverpool Lime Street - Norwich via London)
• National Express East Coast (including journeys via Doncaster)
• CrossCountry (any reasonable route)
• Northern Rail (any reasonable route)
• First TransPennine Express (any reasonable route)
• London Midland (Birmingham / Crewe - Liverpool)

Passengers with tickets dated for travel Sunday 20 July who do not wish to travel may either:

• Claim a full refund
• Travel on Saturday 19 July or Monday 21 July

• Norwich-Nottingham-Liverpool
• Nottingham-Grantham-Skegness
• Newark-Lincoln-Cleethorpes
• Peterborough-Lincoln

Fort William, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh, Glasgow Central, Carlisle, Preston, Crewe, Rugby, Northampton, Watford Junction and London Euston

First Scotrail sleeper services throughout the engineering are diverted and some will not call at all stations. Please see the Online Journey Planner for train times

The following services will depart London St Pancras slightly later

22:30 London St Pancras to Nottingham

23:00 London St Pancras to Derby

The 19:05 service between Pembroke Dock and Hereford will terminate at Newport. Replacement bus service will run between Newport and Hereford.

The 20:46 service between Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff Central will terminate at Hereford. Replacement bus service will run between Hereford and Cardiff Central.

Bedford, Luton, St Albans, Hendon, Cricklewood, Kentish Town, London St Pancras, London Blackfriars & Brighton/Sutton

There will be no trains across Central London.

Trains will run half hourly between Bedford and Hendon connecting into replacement buses to London St Pancras.

Buses will run between London Blackfriars and Tulse Hill.

Customers should use London Underground service to cross central London.

London Charing Cross, New Cross, Lewisham, Hither Green, Sidcup, Albany Park, Crayford, Dartford & Gravesend and London Charing Cross, New Cross & Hayes/Sevenoaks

Buses will run between the following areas;

New Cross and Lewisham

Albany Park and Sidcup

Lewisham and Dartford

• New Cross and Lewisham, Crayford

London Euston,Watford Junction, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street, Stafford, Crewe, Manchester Piccadilly, Preston, Carlisle, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh.

Some services on the London Euston / Birmingham New Street to Lancaster , Carlisle and Scotland routes will start / terminate at Preston and Carlisle or be cancelled.

A replacement coach service will operate between Preston and Carlisle.

London Fenchurch Street, West Ham, Barking, Upminster, Laindon, Pitsea, Southend Central & Shoeburyness

London Fenchurch Street station will be closed with all train services running to and from London Liverpool Street, stopping additionally at Stratford.  Because of this, trains will be unable to stop at West Ham or Limehouse.

Saturday

Until 20:10, the following services will run: 

• Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
• Between Liverpool Street and Southend Central via Rainham and Tilbury: every 30 minutes
• Between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon: every 30 minutes

 From 20:10 the following services will run 

• Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
• Between Liverpool Street and Grays via Rainham: every 30 minutes
• Between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon: every 30 minutes  

A replacement bus service will run between Grays and Pitsea via Tilbury

Sunday 

The following services will run:  

• Between Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Laindon: every 30 minutes
• Between Liverpool Street and Southend Central via Laindon: every 30 minutes (these services run non-stop from Upminster to Pitsea) 

The following replacement buses will run: 

• Between Upminster and Pitsea via Ockendon and Tilbury
• Between Barking and Grays via Rainham

London Overground will run between Queens Park, Camden Road and all stations to Hackney Wick. Customers should use the London Underground District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury Replacement buses will run between Gunnersbury and Camden Road and between Hackney Wick and Stratford.

Willesden Junction, Kensington Olympia, West Brompton, & Clapham Junction

Services between Willesden Junction and Kensington Olympia are replaced by buses. Passengers travelling to Clapham Junction should travel on Southern services between Kensington Olympia and Clapham Junction.

East Midlands Trains

Services between Sleaford and Lincoln are replaced by buses. Journey times may be extended by up to 55 minutes.

Replacement buses will run between Newark Castle/Newark North Gate and Lincoln/Market Rasen and also between Lincoln and Grimsby Town. Journey times may be extended by 60 minutes.

Northern Rail

Services between Gainsborough Lea Road and Lincoln are replaced by buses.

Leeds, Shipley, Keighley, Skipton, Settle, Dent, Appleby & Carlisle and Blackpool North, Preston, Blackburn, Hellifield, Settle, Appleby & Carlisle

Train services between Appleby and Settle/Skipton are replaced by buses. 

An express bus service will also run from Settle to Carlisle, calling at Kirkby Stephen, Kirkby Stephen Town Centre, Appleby and Carlisle only.

Trains will run between Leeds and Settle and between Appleby to Carlisle.

Train services between Blackpool North/Preston and Carlisle are replaced by buses.

Bus services are unable to call at Dent.

Passengers travelling to/from Dent should contact Northern Customer Services on 0845 0000 125 to arrange alternative transport.
