Description

A landslip between Pontefract Monkhill and Knottingley means that the line between Castleford and Knottingley is closed in both directions.

Disruption is expected to continue until Monday 6 May.

Northern customer advice:

Trains between Leeds and Knottingley on the route via Castleford can only operate between Leeds and Castleford, in both directions.

Rail replacement transport is operating between Castleford and Knottingley, calling at Glasshoughton and Pontefract Monkhill. Please be aware that journey times will be extended by approximately 45 minutes when travelling using rail replacement transport.

Customers travelling between Leeds and Knottingley can now use alternative train services, which have resumed via Wakefield.
